David Jackson has served as the Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Green Cove Springs, FL since December 2015. Previously, David served at Mandarin United Methodist Church where he led small group Bible studies, children's and recreational ministries and other leadership positions.
David is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology where he received a Bachelor of Science in Management Degree. He is currently enrolled at Asbury Theological Seminary as he works towards his Masters of Divinity. He has worked for the Cintas Corporation for the last 26 years, first in Operations Management and currently as Health and Safety Coordinator.. David is passionate about spreading the love of Jesus Christ to the Green Cove Springs Community and helping disciple people to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Using activities like sports and games he hopes to encourage church members to come back to church. David loves to share his faith and teach people to learn to trust God and allow Him to walk closely with you in your daily journey. David and his wife, Gretchen, have been married since 1997. Gretchen is a school teacher at Crystal Springs Elementary in the Duval County Public School System where she teaches children with trainable mental handicaps. David and Gretchen have two daughters, Sarah and Jordan. They attend Trinity Christian Academy and enjoy running, soccer and basketball. The Jackson family feel blessed that God has placed them at First United Methodist Church of Green Cove Springs, Florida. |
